Once the word got out that WB was reaching after Wesley, I was wondering what for. He was too expensive for back-up only purposes - rumoured 8 Millions. We got a Frings who played a solid season (thanks to his arch nemesis and ultimate motivator Jogi) and Bargfrede had recently renewed his contract with WB. Here he is, btw.

Few remarks.

Glad WB said no to Magath's dodgy, dead ball, boring football. Glad they did not become Meister with that sort of playing.

Lately, Werder has become a team of bouncy, happy players. Rightly so. Dance-tastic performances, spec. by Per. Hüftsteif? You judge.
